Senators Unite in Generosity: Donate December Salaries, N109m to Victims of Kaduna Drone Misfire
In a remarkable show of solidarity and compassion, all 109 senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have pledged their December salaries, totaling N109 million, to support the victims affected by the drone mishap in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, disclosed this significant contribution during a visit to the Kaduna Government House. The high-powered Senate delegation, led by Senator Barau, was warmly received by the state governor, Senator Uba Sani.
Senator Barau, as quoted by his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, affirmed that the entire sum would be handed over to the state governor for effective and immediate assistance to the victims.
Expressing gratitude, Governor Uba Sani appreciated the senators for their swift and generous response to the distressing situation. This collective gesture reflects the commitment of the senators to stand united in times of crisis and extend support to fellow citizens.
